Spectacular news! The rewrite and initial edits are completed for project Tristin! The manuscript is in the hands of alpha readers who will review the plot line, character arc, etc. to provide needed feedback and suggestions.

Character Tidbit: Tristin’s middle name is Marie.

This week I start the review and rewrite of Project Kwame. I wrote the draft of this romantic suspense during NaNoWriMo 2023 (National Novel Writing Month). I look forward to revisiting the project and preparing it for editorial feedback in late June.

I’m deep into module 5 of 6, where Sarra goes over independent marketing tools and strategies. Many tools I’m familiar with because of the business and marketing books I’ve read in the past. It’s interesting to see how to tweak each tool and strategy for an independent author.

This past weekend, I visited the Columbus Zoo for the first time. Despite the early morning rain, which affected the availability of the animals, my husband and I still had a delightful time.

A kangaroo we met looked like an adventure novel character; the morning after a rough night.

Contessa wants revenge and justice for the death of her mother, whose slain body showed the calling sign of the “Beast.” Though everyone seems to know the name of this beast, Mr Nathanial Woodrow, there is no proof of linking him to her mother’s corpse.

When Nathaniel asks Contessa’s father, Chief of the Royal Police, for her hand in marriage, she and her father devise a plan that could bring the Beast down.

Yet, the more Contessa discovers about Nathaniel, the more conflicted she becomes and the more she questions her own loyalty.
